Spring is in the air, which means it’s time to get signed up for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic’s annual Walk For Wishes on the historic National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, March 16. All proceeds of the walk will benefit Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic, so you can raise money to help grant the wish of a local child.
If you can’t make the walk, you can still contribute by donating a vehicle to Wheels For Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic. Both a great ways to help grant the wish of a local child in your community.
Make A Difference In Your Own Community
Participating in a Walk For Wishes allows you to personally make a difference in the community you live in. Registration is FREE and each participant that raises $150 or more will receive a commemorative t-shirt. The walk will take place from noon-2 p.m., with packet pickup for those who raised more than $150 is Friday, March 15 at the Hyatt Regency.
In addition to the walk, there will be family-friendly activities going on the whole afternoon, including: Great music, face painting and balloon art, special guest appearances and other surprises.
Walkers can register as teams, so if you have a group of family, friends or co-workers, you get form a team and start raising money today!

Walkers can register online. If you are unable to attend, you can still sponsor another walker. When you Walk for Wishes, you will feel great about bringing joy and hope to a local child. Wish Kids also attend and they will get so much joy from seeing how many caring, supportive people are there walking for them! The average cost of a wish in the Mid-Atlantic region is $7,500 and each year the Mid-Atlantic chapter grants more than 380 wishes, which makes the funds raised at the Walk For Wishes all the more necessary.
